Celestron C8, C90 and GoTo GEM

My Celestron C8 is a mid-late 1970's model (classic orange tube) with the standard field tripod and wedge. The below photo shows my C8 with a piggy-back mounted C90 guide scope

I am currently building a German equatorial mount (GEM) for the C90. The GEM will be converted to full GoTo functions. Below is a photo of a GEM prototype mount.

Observatory

My observatory was completed in October, 2008 and is located on the edge of a small Scandinavian town with very little light pollution. Constellations are often difficult to find, since they're swallowed up by all the dim background stars-it dosen't get better than that!  The observatory is a 3.3 m diameter dome on top of a 1 m high base structure. Construction details and additional photos of the completed observatory can be found on the Observatory Page and Observatory Photos pages, respectively.  Several prototype observatory models can be found on the Future Projects Page.
